Michaela Huber
Michaela Huber was born 1952 in Munich, and grew up there before moving to Düsseldorf.
She studied psychology at the universities of Düsseldorf and Münster. Clinical studies at the University of Münster (behavioural therapy), at the Milton-Erickson-Society (hypnotherapy) and the German EMDR-Institute run by Arne Hofman. She is a certified psychologist, licensed psychological psychotherapist, supervisor (also for EMDR) and a trainer for trauma treatment. From 1978 to 1983 she was the editor of the journal Psychologie heute. Since 1989 she has settled in Kassel as a psychotherapist. 1998 she co-founded the Centre for Psychotraumatology Kassel e.V.(Zentrum für Psychotraumatologie). She has been the first chairwoman of the German section of the International Society for the Study of Dissociation (ISSD, founded in 1995). December 2008 Michaela Huber was awarded the Bundesverdienstkreuz.
