Kathy Steele, MN, CS is Clinical Director of Metropolitan Counseling Services, a non profit, low cost psychotherapy and training center, and is in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, US. She is a Past President and Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and has served two terms on the Board of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Kathy has received several awards for her work, including the Lifetime  Achievement  Award from ISSTD in 2010, and an Emory University Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006. Kathy is sought as a consultant, supervisor, and teacher on the topics of attachment, the therapeutic relationship, trauma, and dissociation. She has written numerous book chapters, peer reviewed articles, and two books in the field. She greatly enjoys collaborative writing and teaching with her friends and colleagues from all over the world.
